HABITS
“EVERY ACTION YOU TAKE IS A VOTE FOR THE TYPE OF PERSON YOU WISH TO BECOME.”
↳ JAMES CLEAR
Habits are all the things your brain has learned to do on 'auto-pilot'. Do you check your phone every time it dings? Habit. Do you crave a snack every time you're watching Netflix? Habit.
Every habit basically has three parts: a cue, a craving and a reward. eg. your phone dings, you want to know who messaged you, your brain releases dopamine when you check it.
You can make or break habits by engineering these three things. Habits can seem small, but over time they add up and can make a massive difference to the quality of your life.
TOP TIP ↴
When you are trying to create a new habit, use the '2 minute rule'. Start with an action you can do in under 2 minutes.
Focus on doing that every day until it's a habit, and then you can increase the action from there.
HERE ARE SOME STEPS TO GET YOU STARTED ↴
