Whether or not you liked school, one of the biggest things it gave you was a predictable routine.

Routines provide us with a sense of consistency and clear expectations, which can really support wellbeing.

After school you have the chance to create and build your own routines. How do you start each day? How do you unwind after working? A routine is just any sequence of actions you repeat in a certain order. Experiment with your routines and find what works for you.

TOP TIP ↴

Choose one thing you do regularly  (eg. wake up in the morning) and imagine the steps you could take each time you do it to feel at your best. Here's an example of a simple morning routine.

  1. Wake up. 

  2. Sit on the side of the bed and take 3 deep breaths.

  3. Make your bed.

  4. Drink a glass of water.
