COMMUNITY
'ALONE WE CAN DO SO LITTLE; TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH'
↳ HELEN KELLER
"COMMUNITY IS NOT ABOUT LOCATION, IT'S ABOUT CONNECTION."
↳ UNKNOWN
Human beings are wired for connection. Feeling like we have positive, warm connections with others can change the quality of our lives for the better.
For better or worse, school provides you with a 'ready made' community. You're surrounded by other people, who you see almost every day of the week.
This is one of the biggest changes you'll face after school.
On the upside, you can now choose where you'll connect. Maybe start with an online group who share a similar interest? Or see if you can find a meet-up in your area. The main thing to remember is connection. Find connection, in the ways that work for you.
